With the current state of affairs and rising joblessness rate, many corporations will be offering outplacement services to displaced workers The corporation signs a contract with an outplacement firm to offer a variety of job transition assistance free of charge to employees that the company is laying off
I really think it is time that colleges took a long, hard look at their career placement centers And I think it is time that college students (and their parents who are footing the bill) started holding universities accountable for the quality of these departments

The Frustrations of an IT Job Search

You have to feel for IT job seekers It is tough for them to find solid IT-focused resume writers
I’m not sure there is anything more frustrating to today’s job search process than companies that post online for open positions, insist that candidates contact them only via online forms, and warn against trying any other means of applying for the position Obedient job seekers then follow all the requirements, sit dutifully by and wait, and what happens
There’s been a lot of talk about how great functional resumes can be for career changers You know, all those job seekers out there who are looking to head into a new direction, be it a new field entirely or new industry
